How I struggled
I found myself struggling to understand in engineering, even though my grades do not reflect this statement. I found that what was said did not make any sense, but when I went to do something I understood what I was doing better. For example, the inventor cube assembly was a project where we had to make a cube in Autodesk inventor. The instructions that were given to us in class did not really make any sense, but when I went to try to interpret them in the program, I did an good job. While I cannot say while I failed to understand terminology well, it was my lack of understanding that made me struggle throughout the course. However, what we lack in one thing, we are better at in another. I was really determined to get the grades that I wanted to get and nothing less, which made me do better than I otherwise would have. For example, the Car Assembly Project was really hard, but I worked just as hard on the project to make sure I did it right. While I may not have understood, what was told to me completely, I understood what I was doing when I was actually doing it. Just like any hard project, this took a lot of persistence and hard work to overcome. It may be arguable that this is the project I have put the most effort into so far, this school year. Engineering will be a really useful skill in the future, so I will need to work on this problem so that I might fully overcome it. I plan to work with my extended family who is good in the engineering type fields to help me to understand what I currently do not.
